Chapel Golf Club are delighted to be able to support Blythe House again in this 35th Anniversary Year!

It is important to us as a Club to help to raise money for our local hospice which provides free care to people across North Derbyshire, who are affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement. As part of our local community we understand that the hospice must raise of 80% of income through fund raising and retail activities.

The Rachel Coram Foundation – “Until there’s a Cure”

At Chapel Golf Club we are proud to help The Rachel Coram Foundation whose aim is to raise awareness of Sarcoma Cancer and to provide advice, support and inspiration to those with illness alongside their families and close friends.

Our first Golf Day for The Rachel Coram Foundation took place on Friday 7th July 2023, the weather was blissfully kind, fabulous sunshine and amazing golf……let’s hope the good weather prevails for this year’s competition which will be held on Friday 14th June, details to follow.

We are excited to be hosting the “Spring Ball” on Saturday 23rd March 2024, watch this space for some glamourous outfits……

CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young

Cardiac Risk in the Young - CRY

Our 2024 Captains chosen charity is CRY – Cardiac Risk in the Young.
CRY aims to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families. We would like to raise funds to support CRY and associated local charities, for example #RideForCharlie which raise awareness of the early development of heart conditions.

We hope that we will also be successful in raising enough money to also install at least one additional AED – Defibrillator, out on our Golf Course. This would be in addition to our current equipment and would be useful to members and visitors playing golf but also be of benefit to members of the public and the local community.

Our first event, the Christmas Hamper raffle during December 2023 raised over £800 which has provided a get start to our fundraising efforts.
