Mummy’s Star is a recently formed Charity based in Glossop in the aim of “supporting pregnancy through Cancer and beyond”. Founded in June 2013 by Pete Walroth after his wife Mair lost her battle against breast cancer just 10 weeks after the birth of their second child, Merlin, Mummy’s Star aims to help and support women and families through what can only be described as an impossible time. The Kinder Childrens Choirs were founded in 1991 founder director Joyce Ellis. The choirs offer the opportunity for youngsters from all over the High Peak to experience the joy of singing together and performing together in public, and are recognised as one of the country’s foremost choral organisations. Some of you will know the benefits the choir may have brought to your children, some of you may even be ex choristers, but we would encourage all of you to take the opportunity to see one of their many concerts throughout the year.
