We are proud to be able to field Silver and Bronze teams in the Derbyshire Ladies Golf Association League.  There are also friendly matches during the week for those ladies who do not wish to be quite so competitive!

Our most recent venture is to try to arrange a few friendly matches at weekends so that ladies who can only play at weekends will also be able to participate in them.

In addition to all this there are a number of mixed, and any combination, competitions held throughout the year.  The Ladies organise mixed competitions played on Bank Holiday Mondays. These are well supported, great fun and make enjoyable social events.

A regular calendar of events are held at the club for you to enjoy the atmosphere of the bar and lounge area – friends and family always welcome to join you.

Anne Runagall Lady Captain

Welcome from Mrs Anne Runagall - Lady Captain 2017

Firstly, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our members and visitors. I have only been a member of Chapel en le Frith Golf Club since 2010 so I feel very honoured to be Lady Captain for 2017. The club is renowned for being very friendly.

Having retired early to Cyprus I started to play golf at a club called Menthis Hills, where I obtained my first handicap. On returning to England I became a member of Chapel en le Frith Golf Club.

Chapel en le Frith Golf Club is a very interesting and challenging course and surprisingly, being in the Peak district, relatively flat. The Greens Staff work hard to keep the course in tip top condition throughout the year.

Our Ladies Club competitions are held on Wednesdays and Sundays, we also have non-qualifying matches throughout the year. For ladies who just like to play 9 holes but still keep their handicap we have 9 hole qualifiers during the season.  Throughout the summer we play in Bronze and Silver team matches against other Derbyshire clubs. We also play Friendly matches organized with other clubs in the area.

There are a number of mixed golfing events during the season, these are held on Bank holidays. We also have some social events throughout the year e.g. Burns Night.

Finally, I would like to say thankyou to all staff members and committee members for their hard work throughout the year.
